This may be why @realDonaldTrump has potential legal problems. If you claim massive losses to avoid paying federal income taxes but inflate your revenues and assets on bank documents for loan purposes, wouldn’t that constitute fraud?
The president is receiving multiple medications. It’s noteworthy that none of them is hydroxychloroquine
This scene of the president ripping off his mask, posing and saluting, is deranged.
Next debate, moderator has to cut mics.
My favorite part of the very good Chris Wallace interview with @realDonaldTrump:
TRUMP: “Now we have the 1619 project. What is THAT all about?”
WALLACE: “Slavery.”
The stunning conclusion from the briefing today is that the @POTUS knew he had COVID-19 at least 3 days ago, did not disclose it, went to events and risked infecting others.
They thought they could hide this until the media outed Hope Hicks and the POTUS developed symptoms.
This is not a convention speech so much as a presidential address.
When the @POTUS wants to present a skewed picture of the virus and what it requires, he sends out Dr. Atlas, who has no background in public health or epidemiology, to parrot the party line.
When the POTUS requires treatment, he seeks out experts who know what they’re doing.
Americans were treated to a profane, insult-laden, often inappropriate monologue last night.
But enough about the @POTUS.
How about the White House Correspondents Dinner?
Reporters should not allow the @POTUS to savage a fellow correspondent who is asking a legitimate question he finds uncomfortable and refuses to answer. They should serially repeat the question until they get one.
Such a night. twitter.com/ABC/status/119…..
Memo to Gen. Kelly:
Stormy Daniels reports that the @POTUS became more compliant after been spanked.
Desperate times demand desperate measures.
I’ve heard some Rs say they find @RepAdamSchiff “irritating.” I suspect it is because he has made the case so powerfully.
If @realDonaldTrump and @senatemajldr ram thru a replacement now, the SCOTUS will have a majority of justices appointed by presidents who finished 2d in the popular vote, confirmed by senate majorities who represented less than half of the country.
A tyranny of the minority.
I did 150 campaigns and did not accept “oppo” from ANY foreign government much less an adversary.
Let’s not pretend this is normal. Or legal. Or right.

Another question: Why did the WH ignore the pandemic playbook that sat on their shelves, and which would have triggered federal efforts to meet the demand for ventilators and other supplies two months ago?
There was no conceivable political advantage for the 30 or so newly-elected Ds from districts @realDonaldTrump carried in 2016 who voted for impeachment today. None,
They voted their consciences and upheld their oaths, even at risk to their careers.
They deserve our respect.
This is a pretty stunning mashup.

The latest release of ballots from Allegheny County were mostly military. @JoeBiden won them by something approaching four-to-one. twitter.com/davidaxelrod/s…..
Just a fact check. The economic expansion has been on for decade. The last three years of the @BarackObama admin produced more jobs than the first three years of @realDonaldTrump.
Unemployment fell from 10.2 to 4.7 under Obama. It’s fallen another 1.2 percent under Trump.
.@BarackObama has given so many moving, meaningful speeches but perhaps none more than his message tonight.
It will be reported as an assault on his successor.
It will be remembered as a heartfelt and urgent plea for our democracy from a POTUS who palpably loves and values it.
This almost certainly explains why @realDonaldTrump is fighting to vigorously to keep the Manhattan DA from obtaining Trump’s tax returns.
So under @GovAbbott’s new order, counties in Texas, regardless of size, are limited to ONE drop off box for ballots.
So Harris County (Houston), 1,777 square miles, has to close 11 of 12 drop off locations.
This is about as subtle as a screen door on a submarine.
.@KamalaHarris elicited what seemed to me to be a pretty astonishing admission from Barr that neither he nor Rosenstein or their staffs examined the underlying evidence gathered by the special counsel before deciding the president would not be charged for obstruction.
